Released in 1999, 4.6x30mm was designed as a relatively small and lightweight cartridge with minimal felt recoil meant to compete with 5.7x28mm. Ballistically 4.6×30 and 5.7×28 are similar in the sense that both are high velocity, flat shooting projectiles that offer great penetration.

Enter the BANSHEE™ FourSix SBR, presenting an impressive 40-round magazine capacity, light recoil, and great penetration at close distances, the FourSix here to reimagine the personal defense weapon. Not only was FourSix the first AR chambered in 4.6x30mm, it is also the first 4.6x30mm firearm ever release to the U.S. civilian market!
